Combline Bandpass Filters

Eagle Comtronics offers a series of combline filters that cover the 500 MHz to 12 GHz frequency range. The combline filter series provides an extremely small high "Q" device suitable for rugged environmental requirements in a practically unlimited range of applications. Combline filters replace the inductors in a lumped element filter with distributed transmission line components, leaving the capacitors lumped or distributed capacitors.

These filters are available with 2 to 13 resonant sections and bandwidths from 3% to 25%, with the standard designs offering VSWR specifications of 1.4:1 maximum and special as low as 1.2:1.

While the standard product offers excellent characteristics, Eagle can enhance parameters such as insertion loss, group delay characteristics, and power handling capacity through special electrical design and custom package design.

This design offers a compromise between low insertion loss and extended passband rejection levels.
